We were doing just fine against Louisville until the refs decided to foul 6 tigers out if the game

You were doing fine until our guys brought the pressure. Memphis had no answer.

You're pressure had little to do with 44 total free throws and our foul trouble. We did beat you by 15 from the floor, so try again.

Thanks.

Believe what you will. There is a reason we have won 4 straight in the series, three of those at the FedEx Forum.

When the TV announcers were talking about it, national columnists were talking about it....c'mon.

We had a ten point lead at the half and suddenly FIVE guys on the Memphis team foul out in the second half while ONE Louisville player gets his 4th foul with 30 seconds left in the game? Yeah, must be because of the superior play of Louisville.01-wingedeagle

Below are the facts:

The refs called 25 fouls against the Tigers in the first 36 minutes of the game and only 15 against Louisville despite Memphis out rebounding Louisville by three and outscoring them by eight in the paint. Normally, the team with an inside presence receives the benefit of fouls called against the opposition and Louisville is known as a physical team.

Louisville were called for only two fouls in the first 8:27 minutes of the second half. The Tigers were called for five fouls in the same time span including two to Johnson within 23 seconds of each other.

25% (five) of Louisville's fouls come with four minutes or less to go in the game. The outcome by that point was mainly decided and Louisville had no incentive to foul and yet somehow the refs saw something in the last four minutes that did not occur in the previous 36 minutes.

Reporters without an agenda in this game questioned the referee calls.

Memphis's kids look like they have fun playing and get along with each other all the way down the bench. They could go a long way this year.

Joe Jackson and Geron Johnson put up playstation like numbers last night. Joe had a double double (21pts 10 asst) while Geron NEARLY had a triple double. Geron shot almost 60% from the floor while Joe shot almost 85%.

Meanwhile, Kenpom has DJ Stephens as the #1 rated player in offensive efficiency.

In my average fan's opinion, that's become more noticeable the last handful of games and it's the difference in this year's team and the last 3. They're obviously having fun together.

That's cool and everything, but is he the #1 player in the StillJonesing's efficiency ratings?
