MTSU vs. Memphis in football....I love it.....
MTSU owns a 18-6-1 all time record against Memphis in football. The two schools quit playing after the 1954 game, but what is really great news is that the Blue Raiders are 4-1 in the five games played since the series resumed in 2007. CUSA football is improving. WOO HOO!!

The one game we lost in the series is the ugliest display of football I've ever witnessed in person. If ever there were a game that neither side deserved to win, that was it.

I'm guessing you missed the Jonesboro game last year?

ASU has also won 4 out of the last 5 against Memphis. I was at the game in Jonesboro this year. Full house and great time. The flyover was awesome.

Only one team played like crap that day. That game we lost in the Liberty Bowl was pathetic on both sides.

Cute though.

Had no idea MTSU had dominated Memphis in football. Can't wait to host the Blue Raiders at the Rock this year. If Raider fans can make the trip, you will enjoy it. Great tailgating and great atmosphere for a game.

I wasn't referencing the stAte-Memphis game...I was talking about the stAte-MTSU game.

I thought he was pointing to the worst 'MTSU' performance ever.

Well, stAte owed us after some massive beatdowns we had given the Ohtakians over the years.

Good, the Blue Raiders are coming in to add some wins... something USM couldn't do for the league last year. Why in the **** are you so butt hurt? Our football record against MTSU is about as good as your all time bball record against Memphis.

...when the in the world are you people going to stop creating thread after thread after thread bashing teams leaving the CUSA. And congrats, you are replacing us with MTSU. They may have won a few more games in the past decade, but I can assure you they do not bring near the value Memphis does to the conference.

Please tell me in which sports Memphis State is better than MT save hoops ?

Memphis students flocking to MT to get out of the city. I hear the U is in some serious financial shape, as well (from a state senator on the education board).

I want to get in before someone mentions how ironic it is that someone uses a team beating up on Memphis football as evidence that a conference is improved. Not that I don't respect MTSU football, but I would use the Ga Tech game to brag if it were me.

because the teams leaving continue to come to the CUSA board and bash the conf and the teams in it and ones invited. You can bash away at the conf but do it on the be board and you wont have these type of threads bashing the teams leaving

Not naming any sports in particular. But perception, value, backing, $$$. Hell if nothing else just compare athletic budgets. All together, Memphis brings a conference they are in more than MTSU will. There is a reason MTSU is JUST NOW getting invited to the CUSA.

And yeah, alot of people born in Memphis leave to go to another school. MTSU, similar to memphis has low entrace requirements. I'm from Mid TN and went to school in Memphis, same reason. Some memphis students wouldn't ever imagine going to the UofM and I sure as hell didn't consider MTSU.

Ask a national audience, not connected to Memphis, CUSA, or MTSU. a majority of the nation has probably never even heard of MTSU.

Well of course people would say Memphis because the name of the city is recognizable. I'm from the middle TN area and didn't give Memphis one thought. I unfortunately live here now but everyone I know is absolutely miserable here.
