RE: Noland picture from Tennessee interview
If Noland eventually ends up at Tennessee it will be because he did a great job at ETSU. I am more than fine with a young, ambitious leader. Part of what makes Noland a good leader and President will cause him to eventually leave.

If Noland leaves ETSU in a better place than where he found it I will be more than happy.

No to the dome as a game facility. Look, anything football related to the dome is largely percieved negative, especially if major renovations aren't done to it. Just build the damn stadium and be done with it.
That said, the dome will make one heck of an indoor practice facility.

(Northern AZ has it in their dome) And then use it as an indoor practice facility like no other. I know the sight lines suck at the Dome, but as a stop gap measure, I think it would work until the new yard is done.

Agreed. Better than playing at high schools

The dome is equated to football failure. Nothing says we are doomed to repeat history, like playing in the same stadium that aided in football's demise.

Also if you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get the Dome football ready, New turf, more doors (yes you would have to add them because the dome lost the grandfather status). People would complain about trying to raise millions to build a stadium and "wasting" money to fix up the Dome.
Attendance would suck and we would be back to square to one with the anti-football people saying see we told you so. Dome=Failure, past and present. Don't fall into that trap.
Start fresh, do it right from the start and give it the best chance of succeeding.

I just think its better for the short term, fans knowing of course that a new outdoor stadium is being built on campus ASAP. I just don't see why you would take anything off campus that you have the ability to play on campus. And playing at local high schools encourages a culture of small time athletics that we are fighting so hard to get away from... Just my 2 cents.

I think taking it on the road during the JV season could help spark interest in the local community, bring the football to them so maybe they will come to campus to watch it in a new stadium,

RE: Noland picture from Tennessee interview
I would agree that the only time football should be played off campus is in the JV / club season. I'm not even sure a conference would permit us to play at local high schools, so I doubt playing at them in 2015 would be an option.

RE: Noland picture from Tennessee interview
Noland and Sander have both said there won't be any football played in the Dome.. and that makes since because they have just spent a ton of money making it a better basketball venue..
New turf would be close to a million now.. plus it would take a ton of money to bring it up to the current fire codes, etc..They have both said in interviews that football will be played in a new outdoor stadium.. why destroy the work they have done for basketball.. and spend millions to play football for a year or two in the dome????????????????????????????????????????????????????

By the way..did you hear Jay say on a recent basketball broadcast that Matt Wiljhem will be joining him on broadcasts soon..he did not say the word football.. but.. Matt was the sidekick on football broadcasts in the past.. he was a football player ..and never did any other sports on the Buc network...Jay probably was not supposed to announce that until after all the official announcements are made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I stand fully corrected. No dome. But I am sure it will make one hell of an indoor practice arena if done right

It could give the team a great practice facility and would certainly help in recruiting.
