EDIT: Jim Cantore just tweeted that western portion of the USM campus has damage.

Weather Channel reporting some damage on USM campus, no details.

Keeping a good thought for those affected by the storm. We had a la-lapalooza of a storm here in Birmingham during the UAB - East Carolina Women's Basketball game today.

Weather Channel just showed some damage in western Hburg. Something that looked like a gas station/fire station across from some apartments. I think that they said that windows were blown out of apartments. Sorry for the lack of specifics.

Lots of damage in Oak Grove, Hattiesburg, and Petal. Extensive damage on USM campus. Gas lines on fire in Petal. Reports of injuries.

Keep the area in your prayers. Looks to be not good.

There was an Ace Hardware store destroyed somewhere in Mississippi, not sure if it was in the same area.

The clips they are showing on CNN don't look good. They say USM got hit pretty good.

The Alumni House on campus, there since the beginning, has been damaged heavily. Along with many other old building on campus.

Prayers from up here in Memphis sent USM's way, terrible stuff down there
