Seeds!
With last nights amazing victory at UTEP, I think we have a legit shot at a 4th (or even 3rd) seed in the tournament. Our remaining games are set up just right for that scenario.

Our main competitor for that seed is imo Tulane and we get them at home. Houston at home. SMU at home. ECU at home. And the one road game we should win is at lowly Rice.

If we win those games, I'm almost certain we get that 4th seed even if we lose at UCF (who is ineligible for the Tourney).

Being a seeded team and having the tournament in Tulsa has turned out to be huge IMO. Now don't get me wrong, we are an odds on underdog to go to the NCAA, but if we play our cards right and choose the right post season tournament after our CUSA tournament, we could finish an unbelievable year.

RE: Seeds!
With a lot of luck......a whole bunch of luck.....I think there is a way out possibility we might get a NIT invitation. First we have to get to at least 19 wins.....be in the Top 100 RPI......get at least to the CUSA semi-finals(maybe the finals)......these are big challenges for such a young, injured team and I won't be upset if all these things don't happen. I would like to think next year we do make it to the NIT and will be a little disappointed if we don't. I like Manning and what he is doing.........and think we are on the right track!!! It does appear this year there are a number of CUSA teams that can beat any other team, any night and we might win 5 in a row or lose 5 in a row.

RE: Seeds!
A 6th seed might not be all that bad. The way it could play out is this - I hope.

1. We'd probably get Rice (11th seed - who we've already beaten) in round 1

2. Then probably get UTEP (3 seed - who we've beaten twice) in round 2

3. Then probably get So Miss (who barely beat us here) in round 3

4. Then of course Memphis

Our problem if we ever made it to the finals is fatigue and . . . . . . . . Memphis --------- I mean their superior talent. But of course, we are HOME and that alone might help us, especially if we could get a huge crowd of support for us in the BOK.

But if we were to win three in the tournament and win out in the regular season against current bottom dwellers Rice and SMU, the we would be a lock to be in a post season tournament and of course that magic "20 number".

Right now a 6th seed is do-able and very possibly our best path. A 20 win season would work miracles for this teams confidence and outlook - and it certainly wouldn't hurt recruiting. As I see it, our next recruiting move is to go after the 4 star kids since we don't really need numbers, just quality. Tulane was a big, big win for the future of our program. IMO

A 6 seed is a lot better than a 4 or 5 seed.....I expect Memphis to win the title pretty easily so as long as we can avoid them the better!!

I think we are really in trouble with the seed now after an SMU loss. UAB is playing Memphis and we get Rice. UAB will probably lose and we probably win.

Now all we can shoot for is possibly to win a game in the CUSA tournament and get into a minor post season tournament a win a few.

Oh well, next year will be interesting. I still think we've overachieved this year.
