Si.

I've missed a step here. If we didn't own the property back in 2011 when the OCS proposal was shelved, how could the BOT have approved it? This seems like we're getting our ducks in a row to proceed with the OCS.

The acquisition of the land was in the OCS proposal.

question - what is happening on the lot just to the east of where Hardy is? Currently it is being graded off... If memory serves, isn't that block within part of a 'future UAB structure' footprint? 03-shhhh

I think currently UAB can justify parking lots just about anywhere.

And if it happens to involve tearing down old buildings and getting the ground prepped for a large structure... well, so be it.

It'll help reduce the final price tag of a stadium as well.

If the OCS is built by the baseball park, can we test for sink holes first?

Sink holes will be where the opposing team dress, it will be an upgrade from Legion field.

Very true. New parking will always be approved.

UAB went before the city's design review board a few backs and got approval for this parking area. It's going to be "temporary remote parking". It fits in with the new transit system plan which is to move all parking to the perimeter of campus and have people utilize the bus system.

Then when we're ready to build the stadium, site work is already done on the property which can reduce the price tag of the stadium project. Acquiring the Hardy property also will reduced the stadium price.
