I'm sure quite a few Texas HS stadiums have better screens and structures. If they can't redo the structure at a later date then they should wait. If they can take the screen down and build a new structure later then they can do whatever they want.

Believe me, there are several HS stadiums in Dallas suburbs that have better scoreboards.
I hope they don't "nickel and dime" this thing.....better to wait another year and get it right......but the sound system MUST be improved

It sounds like improved/expanded press box and suites are a ways down the road.

I don't think we can wait...part of ISHA bid process.

I heard that the Convo was getting a new scoreboard and ribbons too as part of this project, has anyone else heard that? Not really sure if that is true...

Well, we have heard that the Convo was going to get new screens. Haven't heard about ribbons in the Convo. Winder if they mean that instead of those ad boards we have on the sidelines now they go to digital ones like they had at Buffalo, they really could use them. Makes the Convo more "modern".

has the ath dept nickeled or dimed the Yorden Center, the IPF or the construction of the east side? They know what they need and how much it will cost and how to finance. There is no reason to believe the the scorebord will be first class.

Huh? It will or will not be first class? Confused!

I think the point is that every project post the Convo has been done at a very high level with a lot of thought and attention to detail. No reason to think this will not continue.

No, I doubt that the design is finalized yet. We may get a blurb about it at the kickoff but nothing to look at is my guess.

Better chance at the spring game. I would guess that they would start work on shortly after the end of spring ball.

Does anyone have a picture of our scoreboard in 1999 before this one was put up?

All I know is the current one seemed awesome compared to the old one. It's all relative.
