RE: Urban Meyer blurb on Lance M blog
It seems to me when a UC grad takes over as head coach of a football program, yet the head coach is a member of the elect club of his alma mater. The head coach's family is employed by his alma mater and 3 generation of the head coach's family remains in that area, that area and hence its flagship school is all over the head coach and that program as oppose to any hype the head coach wishes to given to the media. Especially a discredited local media. Just o thought.

RE: Urban Meyer blurb on Lance M blog
Urban is quite simply an a$$. He was at Florida when all the buckey tards hated him and he still is now. His comments are arrogant and disrespectful. Funny how all his heart and health issues just disappeared by the way. He can suck it. He can't have it both ways. Can't talk about "owning" a town when his school dodges us every chance they get.

OSU is the most arrogant group of sh!tbags you can find anywhere. It is a shame our local radio and nfl team don't rally and support the city's university a bit more and instead give that program up north air time, attention and venue to play in.

I think you make an excellent point. What better way to dominate and smother than on the field?

Is this what Meyer is offering? Nah.

Put up or shut up.

Like everyone else, I'd love to see O$U at Nippert. What fun that would be.

Like most on this board, I am not a fan of Lance McAlister. In fairness to him, he did say last night that he thought the city and Mike Brown should have only agreed to let OSU play the spring game at PBS on the condition they play UC in football at PBS and basketball at US Bank Arena. He also said he had Butch Jones on the night this was announced and off the air Butch indicated he was pissed about the deal (he gave a PC answer on the air).

The Bengals and the city had all the leverage on OSU. They needed a place to play their spring game and wanted to come here. The city and the Bengals would have made a lot of money by hosting another event or two downtown.

Why would Mike Brown try to leverage tO$U for UC's benefit? Remember, he's the guy who plays hang on sloopy between the 3rd and fourth quarters at PBS every game.

Not for UC's benefit, for his benefit. Mike would have gotten paid twice--- once for the OSU spring game and the other when OSU came back to play the Bearcats.

Mike is a big "team from up north" supporter. Why would he try to fleece them? He is going to provide them a sweetheart deal. Besides it provides competition with UC, whom he does not support. In the end I am sure he is hoping this helps the Bungles and weakens UC.

I'm sure Mike Brown could care less but it's just another reason why his franchise will never get a penny from me in ticket revenue, concessions or licensed merchandise. A rebuilt Nippert will enable UC supporters to keep more dollars uptown too.

If MB had tried to make them play a regular season game in return for playing their spring game here they would have moved their spring game to Cleveland instead of Cincinnati. Or maybe even Pittsburgh or Indy.

Instead of just posting a basic summary of what Urban had to say in regards to his team, recruits, schedule etc. to appease the Buckeye following in Cincy. Which I could appreciate. I get it. There is a Buckeye following in Cincy. Give them information about their team and coach. But nooooo, he took the alternative route and posted the one negative comment that would ensure he got UC fans all worked up. I'm sure Urban said plenty of other things that would be of interest to OSU fans. But that isn't "shock" radio.

He schtick is getting old. At least he didn't post it on Twitter, he just posted it on his blog. He probably knows Tentman would tweet him back and say..."see what I mean?"

How did he reel me in? I'm not going to listen to his show. Every time I hear something about him, it cements my opinion that the guy is a whiny jacka**. I don't see how that's a win for him.

This.

On another note, an interesting article on Urban and his recent quip about subpar B10 recruiting. Here.

RE: Urban Meyer blurb on Lance M blog
I've cut myself off from all things Lance related...only time I notice his stuff now is when someone retweets it. Like today, he sent 4 or 5 straight tweets in regards to Kerry Coombs now being the Special teams coordinator at OSU. I think it is obvious he is just trying to get a rise out of Bearcat fans, and like to see the uproar he is causing. Best to just ignore him, like a 3 yr old throwing a fit...eventually he'll realize he isn't getting anywhere and stop.

His act has become really juvenile...and annoying, much like Furman.
