that women appearing on TV's "Red Carpet" and on stage at the ceremonies are to wear more conservative clothing that particularly means showing less "cleavage". Yes, they were that specific about wanting to show less skin. Were we only one aspect of the greater cultural movement to demand a move toward a more modest appearance? If now the Grammys, can the Oscars be far behind? Maybe by the end of the decade, we will be back to Twiggy's unisex clothing.

We live in a sad, sad time that promotes pistols and banishes breasts.

I see nothing wrong with these outfits.

Pink looks more like she belongs in Cirque de Solei.

I'm thinking it's mostly CBS trying to compensate for the criticism they received, along with the NFL, for Beyonce's "raunchy" halftime show.

Is this rebirth of Puritanical dress style just a "blip" or is it the style trend of this mid-decade? In a couple of weeks, we have the "Oscars" so we may know more then.

Maybe in a few years those outfits in post #3 will be current styles among North Carolina Republicans.

I notice the very attractive woman who does the Hardie's new burger commercial has now been edited so no side view of her bosom is shown and the part where she pulls the string on her bikini top has been cut out completely.

The "Red Carpet show" for the "Oscars" had very conservative dresses as well. The evidence so far indicates we are in for "less of the same" in attractive female dress.

RE: I don't know who pulled the string on our BOTD, but the Grammys put out the word
The elimination of "BOTD" was an individual event. Then came the "Grammy's" announcement and the proposed North Carolina law so I began to check out things like commercials and the "Oscars" to see if these indicated a cultural trend. There is growing evidence that this is so. There were news photos of Iran's TV "photoshopping" the already modest dress top worn by Mrs. Obama to present that "Oscar" to raise it almost to her neck. Are we going in that direction as a nation?

They were just trying to keep the neckline above her boob belt.

The Iranians rightly fear her mighty biceps.
