For those of you who don't want to look. JEESUS

Wow, glad he's on our side.

O...M...G!! That kid is a freak of nature. With him, I would kick field goals on every 4th down, no matter where the hell the ball is. My God! How did he get passed up by the big boys?

Guessing the groin surgery had something to do with it too. Then again, a lot of the big programs seem to have a lot more trouble with the kicking game than they should, so who knows..

Favorite Player: Mycial Allen He will be a stud on defense, I see a future Jimmie Ward here

Most productive player: Deucee Turner. He's got breakaway speed and can line up in the slot and catch the ball

Scholarship Sleeper: Robert Jones. He has the size to start for us at OLB and is probably already one of the fastest linebackers on the team, just needs to get the cognitive part of the game down.

Walk-on Sleeper: Jamaal Payton. MVP Defensive Player of the year when he was a Junior.

Scholarship bust: Ryan Stendler. I saw his senior tape, not very impressed with him. Just seemed average to me.

Walk-on Bust: Tate Briggs. I'm only saying him because of the severe injury he suffered a while ago.

I can't wait till football starts!!!

Does anyone know much about Chad Beebe, the small WR? could he be another Dan Sheldon?

Bouganon is a MONSTER, I watched him play this season and he impressed me a hell of a lot and I'm happy we signed him.

As for Chad, he has had a small list of injuries in high school (foot, collarbone, arm) but he is lightning quick. Takes after his old man. He could be another Sheldon/Fleck for us.

Favorite Player: Ducee Turner- This guy is lightning fast. You can watch everyone else's tape and then his and you will notice a huge difference. I am excited about his and think he could make an impact early on.

Offensive Sleeper: Blake Holder- This guy's tape really impressed me. He reminds me of Martel the way he runs routes and gets up there for the ball. Corey Winfield would have been a good get, but I think this guy can be just as good.

Defensive Sleeper: Sean Folliard- I loved his highlight tape. He hits hard and knows how to wrap up to make a tackle. He has good size and speed, plus he is already on campus working out with the team. I have a good feeling about this kid.

Bust: Brandon Mayes- His highlight tape was nothing to get excited about and he looked very raw as a player.

Walk-On Steal: Nick Cieslak- I enjoyed watching his tape. He has good velocity and accuracy on his passes and he can scramble. What most impressed me though was his poise in the pocket. He was always comfortable and if we was getting chased down he still would find the open guy. He may not be the next JL6, but I'm certainly happy we got him.

Other notes I made:

Malik Mitchell- He has great size, but is highlight tape is all fade routes. He can definitely be a down field threat, but maybe this is why he didn't get bigger offers.

Robert Jones- He is fast yes, but he needs to work on his tackling. All of his tackles are dives at the feet, which won't cut it.

Chad Beebe- Best route runner of all the WRs. If he was a few inches taller I bet he would have gotten bigger offers.

Nice analysis but give Mayes a chance...I watched the AC championship game and he looked pretty good albeit weaker competition. He looked very fluid on both sides of the ball...athletic with good instincts.

I'm not hoping he's bad, but when I watched everyone else's videos his was one that I was least impressed with. I think with some coaching and hard work he can be a solid player.

+1, if you watched both IHSA Championship games the past 2 years, Mayes definitely STOOD out in both. Kid was a playmaker on offense, defense and special teams. Big time players make big plays in big games and that was definitely the case with Brandon. I was really happy to get him. Great instincts, I think he will be a good one for us
