In case anyone is interested here is the 247 site which has verbals for 2014 for each school which has one or more verbals.

Couple of MAC schools are off to good starts (esp. WMU with six from MI, and including 3 recruits ranked 3-stars).

MI will be very, very tough with WMU and CMU trying to corner the market for talent not going to B1G or equivalent.

verbal commit is the expression.

recruits can not sign until signing day in February.

Great stats on one of the best hs teams in mich last year. First 2014 commit. Wonder if mike hart played a big hand in getting him over other Mac schools.

Looks like legitimate track speed and speed kills on the gridiron (ask anyone who tried to tackle Bronson Hill last season).

I've read that his H.S. (Ian's) opens their season August 31 at Ford Field.

High school kid who was able to lift 350 lbs.

Curious how many 225s he can lift?

He might in a year or two at EMU be able to put up NFL Combine RB 225 numbers.

So we note he has track speed and the potential to put up NFL RB combine lifts.

What I like:

1st Team All State as a junior, 314 carries for 2,179 yards or a 6.9 average with 34 TDs as a junior against tough competition.

My questions for this recruit is why only an offer from Eastern? He looks terrific in his videos. Clarkston is generally noted for good teams and good players, so coming from there doesn't surprise me. What does, is how this young man could have been a sleeper, or is there something else we don't know about? I'm not trying to cause any controversy. Maybe it was Mike Hart. Glad to have him aboard.

Mike Hart might be the "Mike the Recruiting Man."

I looked at some of the videos and quite frankly didn't think Ian had track speed, even though he apparently does.

I don't know why he did not appear to be recruited by BCS schools.

This is one of the 'at 35,000 feet' observations, but I think Fleck is recruiting much better then Enos.

Enos moves early on recruits, but I think he takes a number of questionable recruits.

I believe that is a theme from the CMU boards, but I wish a CMU recruitnik would verify.

Of course, we could get a WMU recuitnik to discuss their class to date.

Interesting that WMU has two recruits from Clarkston and we now have one.

I'll check if there are other Clarkston players left out there.
