RE: Next two should be a good barometer
General, that is great in theory, but not reality.
When I coached soccer I received a yellow card and never said a word to the referee. I had to explain to the players and parents that I had not said a word. My wife, who never has taken my side in these sorts of issues, wrote the league a letter slamming the referee.
There was a ball out of bounds that happened in front of me. The referee signaled ball out and possession to the other team. I merely shook my head from side to side and the referee happened to notice the action, she was the only one that saw what was happening. She asked me if I had something to say, so I shook my head again, never uttering a word. She then approached me with the statement, "well if you have something to say, say it", and again I shook my head. With that she whipped out the yellow card.
My point in this story is that a referee, many times gets a little sideways with a coach and without warning will "T" them up with no provocation. Perhaps you have a different experience, but I've seen it happen on many occassions. I feel that a good referee with warn the coach to cease, before administering the penalty.........................not true.
With knowing what the actual exchange was, I'm not about to jump on a coach about that. Besides there isn't a coach alive that won't verbally assault the official.
Always proud to be a Bronco.

RE: Next two should be a good barometer
I wasn't there for either T, so it's impossible for me to know what was said or what body movements were made. Alls I know is that this isn't kids soccer and every game down the stretch is big for the Broncos. I also know that neither tech caused WMU to lose, but the Miami one certainly could have. Coach needs to learn to pick his battles. There's yelling at a ref when he's obviously made a bad call, then there's yelling at a questionable call. In the former, the ref will give you a little more leeway, but not in the latter, which is what hawk did wrong IMO.

Fagan was sitting right behind him. I'll tweet him and ask. I'm sure driving to Muncie is pretty boring.

Neither team is as good as WMU. But they are both very competitive if they shoot well. And being on the road, maybe a little mentally tired from this last stretch against demanding MAC East competition we will see if the boys loosen their grip on the reins any.
Interesting match up at the guard with BSU's quick and offensive minded pair and Majok and his length against Shayne.
Calhoun at BGSU always seems to come to play agains us and Vinnie Microwave Crawford has been sputtering lately. Will he heat up and drop 30 coming up soon?
Nailed it. You should have worked in the business, such a waste of good knowledge....
