Hope they grab a shooter.

We have shooters...Hollins doesn't use them

This is why you play Wroten. Why can't our NBA coach see this?

3 of those came from a stupid foul at the half.

The issue is that game after game he loses the pg battle. His inability to keep his man away from the paint is what get our bigs in foul trouble....just ask Brevin Knight.

You were a Rudy guy and he lost every SF battle. Not all 5 players are going to win their position battle. Most NBA teams only have 2.

You mean he was a big Gay guy? That's cool.

Go back n check the stats. He dueled with Lebron n KD and either outplayed them or matched them.

Once he was on the chopping block, his mood changed....natural reaction. Case in point, look how the team is playing now.

Meh. Trade rumors didn't start until after his play dropped. My two favorite former Grizz, OJ and Greivis, have a combined 40 points and 13 assists so far in their games. That's offense we had that Lionel buried. Weren't his type of guys.

That was in the first month of the season when the whole team was playing outstanding. Then came December when the play dropped including your boy Gay. The trade talks weren't the reason for Gay's play.

From my memory, OJ was Hollins' starter and OJ wasn't following game plans.

When OJ went to the bench, the team started winning.

Greivis Vasquez was getting PT, but wasn't following game plans either. But he was traded for a replacement for Sam Young/Shane Battier.

Now what you should be upset about with OJ and GV isn't Hollins, it's Heisley.

Wallace didn't build the team based on Hollins' preferences.

GV and Quincy Pondexter could have been drafted if Heisley hadn't sold the draft pick to Dallas in 2010.

OJ would have been retained if Heisley has been less immobile when Rudy Gay was seeking an extension. Rudy gets $55-60 million, the team would able to convince Zach to take a $40-50 million extension instead of $60 million. Rudy and Zach take less, team has room to sign OJ again.

But exactly how has OJ's and GV's success translated into wins for Dallas and NOLA?

RE: Grizzlies @ Hawks (2/6)
Tough loss. I'm still happy with the rudy trade though i was content on waiting till the end of the season. We are missing speights in a big way. It may take this team a few more games to get it together. They got a new starter and a new bench. It will take some time to get the chemistry back together. That's the chance you take when you make so many moves during a season.

No doubt last night was ugly, but at least the grizz didn't give up.

The grizz still have flexibility to make a move. They need a backup center or davis must prove he can play the position. I heard the media say he played center 30% of the time in toronto. My answer to that is toronto only won about 30% of their games.

We could really use Quincy Poindexter back to play backup minutes at the 2 and 3.

Exactly.

And Jon Leuer didn't get playing time from Cleveland.

Cleveland is 15-34 and Varejao is out for the season. Why wouldn't they play him?

Do you remember what the emphasis was that first month (whichw as also something they worked on during training camp)????
A: Get easy points by getting out in transition.

Guess what the team has not been doing since December?

Guess what gets players like Rudy, Lebron and KD going when their shot isn't?

Guess how many fastbreak points the grizz had approaching the 4th Q last night.

You say everyone was playing outstanding, I say they were playing freely vs this halfcourt pound the ball style ad nauseum.

Face it man Rudy struggled like everyone else after that first month. The trade talks did not make this team all of the sudden a bad team or made Rudy play bad. It had been that way for over a month before the talks came up. Quit trying to defend Rudy's play over the last two months he was here because his play was subpar along with the majority of the players.

So you ignored everything else I shared with you?

I'll take that as an "agree to disagree".
