Would Marshall fans consider this year to be shaping up as one of it's best classes ever? It looks rock solid to me.

I dont think so. We've had some very strong classes the last 2-3 years. We got the offense back on track last year so hopefully we can continue getting better on defense. If we do, I think we can be back to winning 10-11 games and back in the top 25 soon.

Doc Holliday and JaJaun Seider have done amazing things this year, if we get them all signed. Marshall fans knew that Doc was a recruiting guru when it came to South Florida and Seider had a lot of ties in South Florida. Seider played at Glades Central and still holds a lot of records there. The kids down in that area know who he is and thats really invaluable.

As it stands right now we have 5 4 star recruits (1 4 star rivals/espn, 2 4 stars rivals, 2 4 star ESPN) committed, two of which have either signed or already in school.

They have repeatedly given hints that there are big recruits committed that aren't being talked about, so if not today in the next few weeks it will be fun to see who comes out.

It will be tough to beat Jim Donnan's 94 and 95 classes. Which was before Rivals existed. Those 2 classes had 8 draft picks including Chad Pennington in it and 16 UFA that got a shot in the NFL.

On paper I would say for sure. As of right now we have commits signed / verbal from five or six 4* recruits depending on what recruiting site you look at. Loading up at WR, DB, OL and LB.

Sounds like we just stole Michael Johnson from FSU too!

Michael Johnsom at 5'9, 153 pound Safety. Wow talk about small. Maybe if he can get in the weight room and gain some weight he can be moved to slot WR if he has decent hands. Unless the guy is just relentless like a Garade Mercer or Chris Royal, I can't see him playing D-.
