I'm probably one of the few that is rather ambivalent about the brown v black issue. To some it is a real emotional issue. To others, not so much. If you look around the college athletics landscape, those teams swimming in donor ca$h and great shoe/apparel contracts (freebies, etc.) are showing up several times a year now in some new, outlandish uniform for a big game. It has gotten ridiculous.
Here's my deal. Our official school colors kind of suck. I don't mind the brown, but really it would be on the bottom of my list for a dominant color. And nobody needs to teach me the story of where our colors came from. I'm well aware of it and it is as lame a story for school colors as any school could come up with. It's difficult to use that shade of yellow in a uniform and have it look good. Opinions vary, of course.
Let's be real. Kids love to sport unis they really like. Lots of new innovations in styling lately and it is popular with them.
I'd prefer we use the dark brown and the gold gold. But this is similar with the "re-branding" and the logo. They unveil the Bronco overlaid on the W. I think that is good. So, stick to it and be consistent over all and don't change the logo.
A bigger point to me is that the school's leadership has allowed all the division. Had they any sense, they would have never let things stray from our so-called tradition.
edit: another thought. PJ is likely to change the look. Maybe talk to our uniform company and ask them to come with 2 competing sets; one with our traditional colors, and one with the dark brown and gold scheme. Ask them to be creative. Then, choose a look and stick with it.

Typical start to a KSU WMU game.
