RE: CCHA showdown in K-zoo this weekend
Such a shame this isn't being televised. Biggest series of the year in the league. CBSSN, NBCSN and Fox-Detroit really miscalculated when they set up their broadcast schedule for this season.
Broncos get 2 players back from 1 game suspensions tonight and know how huge it would be to win tonight and put 5 points between themselves and Miami.
WMU has 2 @OSU next, then 2 at home vs Notre Dame and finish with 2 @MSU. No easy finish but offers opportunity for TUC wins for the pairwise.

4-0 with only minutes to go, Miami will be up a point. Both WMU and Miami play OSU and Notre Dame in the coming weeks, though WMU plays Michigan State and we've got Lake Superior.

Congrats to Miami for coming back strong.
The regular season CCHA championship race will be a dogfight down the stretch. Nothing changed btw MU - WMU this weekend, as Miami still leads by a point - Notre Dame did creep 3 points closer to both of us. The good thing, as you noted is that we both play them.

Good weekend. Good luck to WMU.
But yes, as you stated, ND faces WMU and Miami and will lose many... It is between Miami and WMU. Im hoping for Miami in Toledo Regional and WMU in Grand Rapids... is there anyway that BG can win CCHA tourney autobid and sneak in a 3rd regional? we need MAC domination in Frozen Four.

Would doubt it, though it'd be perfect if it worked out that way. Maybe UMass could also make a miracle run in the Hockey East, they kinda count.
On another note, I saw a week ago in hockey Bracketology that Miami was projected at that time to face off against Boston U - how would that be for a revenge opportunity?

RE: CCHA showdown in K-zoo this weekend
Miami leave K-zoo still one point ahead, but ND swept Michigan and closed the gap, so the Miami and WM series coming up vs ND the next 2 weeks are also huge. Any of the 3 teams could now win the CCHA regular season championship. Here are a few amazing stats: Miami has only lost 3 times this year when we have scored (the other 5 losses were shutouts). Also, freshman goalie McKay, our Saturday night goalie, now leads the nation with a 0.98 goals against average. The final stat, Miami is undefeated if we score 3 or more goals. Definitely a defensive minded team this year.
