Esp if they finish anything worse than 4-5 this year which would get them to 34-42 in the period(18-33 in BE play).

You are blowing this out of proportion. UConn finished 9th place in the Big East when they won their last NC. Even good teams lose in Big East play.

UConn was near .500 when they did that. 18-33 is not near .500. Being 7 games under .500 is not good overall- there's no way to spin it otherwise.

I think if the contract wasn't expiring end of season, there'd be no doubt about him coming back. But, with it expiring, you have to ask the question. How can you give him a long term deal given the situation?

You know, Pitt is 12-19 over their last 31 Big East games (including their BE tourney games), and unlike Wright, Dixon hasn't made a Final Four. One of the 19 losses includes a 23 pt home loss to Rutgers.

They are, but a lot of that was just last year. going 6-14. To me, Pitt is a lot more of a 1 year fluke than what Villanova is going thru. I mean, Pitt is 39th in the RPI this year.

Also, Pitt has done well OOC, going 12-1 this year. 11-2 last year(4 top 100 wins last year and the 1 loss was vs Long Beach State- not a bad one at all). Villanova has gone in this stretch 16-9 OOC.

Wagner too, at home.
Is Pitt known for beating good teams OOC? I thought they usually had a so-so OOC schedule.

Wagner was 88, so not a bad loss.

last year beat LaSalle(87),Penn(97), Robert Morris(100), Tennessee(86).

I'm a Billikens fan, and I was happy last year to get a game with Villanova.

lol.. didn't catch it. see Nova went 54-31 2nd half. Sometimes a game like that can spark a team on a run. they need it- they are a flagship of the BE.
