All, as football fans, I thought that people might appreciate this story that aired on WWL 4 in New Orleans last night on Devon Walker. This is his first interview since being paralyzed against Tulsa back in September.

I'm glad that WWL did this during Super Bowl week in New Orleans to get Devon's story that much more exposure. He really is inspiring, and it is amazing to see the optimism the young man has. He walked on at Tulane for three years before earning his scholarship, and was a few credits shy of a degree in Cell/Molecular Biology when the injury happened.

Its also a reminder that this game we love is only enjoyed at a tragic price sometimes.

Thanks for sharing this. I was at Chapman the day this happen. It was a surreal and horrific event. As a player I rarely ever thought of such a tragedy occuring. As the parent of a player I think about it all the time. Our prayers and best wishes continue to be wth Devon and his family.
