Good to hear. In the couple of times I have dealt with Lane I have come away very impressed by the young man. I made a suggestion to him about starting a tradition at graduation and he ran with it. With just a couple of months notice he got it done in time for winter commencement.

OUR team is 18-4...tied for 3rd in the BE and have lost 4 games by a total of 10 points. I was at the Rock yesterday and there was a substantial contingent of Bearcat fans. They were supporting the Cats and not denigrating their efforts. In fact, I was fortunate enough to sit next to the UC student body president, whose hair is growing in quite nicely. What a great rep for the school. I spent time with Dan and Chuck and Hep Cronin and heard nothing but praise for the team.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but why rip the players, who believe it or not, actually read these postings. We are all armchair quarterbacks but aren't physically qualified to carry the Eppy's jock! We should appreciate what this team has and will accomplish this season.
How many of us are coaches and are qualified to evaluate a players BB IQ? How would you react when you are hounded by 2 players trapping you in the backcourt in a hostile environment? Your shorts would be soaked. You talk the talk BUT, I sincerely doubt that you can walk the walk.
Please try to enjoy the ride...did this team not go up the Carrier Dome with its questionable O (according to you) and almost beat the #3 team in the country? They can play with anyone in the country. They may not be pretty but they can BALL. Try to enjoy it, I am.
Go Cincy, beat the Friars.
Great post!!

Maybe I'm too young to just sit back and enjoy this season, but I can't but think about March. That's where my frustration comes from. I love this group of players because it's exactly he type of team that makes BIG runs in March. We have Cashmere and Kilpatrick who can really lead this team offensively when need be. Parker is that guy every team needs to be an 'X' factor and neutralize the opponent because of his flexibility. JJ provides spark and lots of athleticism whenever he comes in. Mbodj/Nyarsuk are just big men who need to neutralize other big men.
This makeup is a great. But when you see the constant dumb basketball you see, it's too easy to criticize and it's frustrating when people are happy that Cashmere and SK can just be incredibly dumb with their decision making.

Todd...everyone is entitled to their opinion but "dumb" basketball is not an appropriate comment unless you taught John Wooden how to coach. Hell, even LeBron, Melo, and Kevin Durant make bad passes and take "bad" shots. Nobody says that they play "dumb" basketball. If you can run and shoot as well as Cash and SK, I will defer to your opinion. If not, give them a break!
Go Bearcats!

When I say 'dumb' basketball, I'm talking about first half against Xavier 'dumb.' It happens throughout the year, I get it. But it seems to happen a lot more with these guys. That's what seemed to happen vs SH in spurts at times. We can't do that against teams like IU or Michigan.
With that said, I'll take your advice and just enjoy it for the time being.

Yeah well this "dumb" team is 18-4 and ranked in the top 20.

Todd...no malice intended. Mick is on top of things. Bad plays = Bench.
Have to stand up for SK 'cause we went to the same HS (44 years apart)!
