I'm a die-hard Memphis Tiger fan and always will be, regardless of our record. Sometimes it's easy to get on a message board and go overboard after a loss. Most of us have done it at some point.

These guys are doing it after WINS though!03-lmfao

I guess that's what I have had trouble with. Some people get more angry and bitter the longer this win streak goes on.

Some of you are so ignorant of the fact that many coaches (including a few in CUSA) believe they could advance to a final four
with the kind of talent we're put on the floor. Josh is in year four with top flight talent. Yes top flight talent. I give him this year and next to win an NCAA game.

With the utmost respect, we just won a conference game by 30 points where the reserves scored more than the starters.

We have the nation's 2nd longest winning streak and the longest road winning streak in D1.

Our coach is on track to be one of the top 10 winningest coaches in their first 4 years in the history of college basketball. "Finding someone who can" in the next year or two would make us look silly in the world of college athletics.

My friend, perhaps the Memphis board would be a better place to have this discussion.

Edit.....

Back to the topic, there is no college athletic program that gets more results per athletic $ spent than USM.

There's not another even close in my opinion.

Can you really blame us? How many did we reel off last year only to play very poorly and end our season against a team that talent-wise wasn't even in the same ballpark as us.

But to be honest, I wouldn't even bring up that game if we hadn't lost to the only three legitimate teams we've faced this year.

But to be honest, I wouldn't even bring up those losses if over the past 3 years we had beaten just a handful (talking 2-4 here) of teams with equal or greater talent.

It's not a particular game for me or even a particular season. It's the pattern over 3 1/2 half years I'm skeptical about.

Just noticed how close USM/Memphis are in their resumes at the moment:

RPI: 36 38
RPI NC Rank: 36 52 (not sure what NC rank is)
SOS: 124 102
NC SOS: 114 81
Record (D1 only): 16-4 18-3
OOC record: 9-4 11-3
Conf record: 7-0 7-0
Home: 6-0 13-1
Away 8-4 4-0
Neutral: 2-1 1-2 (although I think they're still counting Wichita State as neutral site for USM?)
Top 50: 0-3 0-3
top1 100: 0-1 5-0
tOP 200 10-0 7-0
250+ 6-0 6-0
Streak (D1 only) 9-1 10-0

I believe NC is non-conference.
