Coach Holtz will do a good job for La. Tech. Great PR person. Your fans need to get use to his idea of keeping games close and trying to win or protect the lead at end of games. For ECU it worked but for USF it did not. Never was a big fan of his offense or OC......we hated to see him leave. Anyway, best of luck (Beat NCSU) and welcome Cusa:)

"1.0.1" July 1, 1996: Houston joins as the 12th all-sports member and the 6th football member. Houston had been publicly involved in the formation of C-USA but was legally obligated to compete in the Southwest Conference for the 1995-'96 academic year. In 1996 C-USA plays its first conference season of football.

"1.1" July 1, 1997: East Carolina joins as the 7th football member; ECU's non-football sports remain in the Colonial Athletic Association.

"1.2" July 1, 1998: Army joins as the 8th football member; Army's non-football sports remain (mostly) in the Patriot League.

"1.2.1" July 1, 1999: UAB (already a non-football member) joins as the 9th football member.

"1.3" July 1, 2001: East Carolina (already a football member) and TCU join as the 13th and 14th members for all-sports and in TCU's case, the 10th football-member.

"1.3.1" July 1, 2003: South Florida (already a non-football member) joins as the 11th football member.

"2.0" July 1, 2005: Army, Charlotte, Cincinnati, DePaul, Louisville, Marquette, Saint Louis, South Florida, and TCU withdraw from C-USA. Six continuing all-sports members (East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, Southern Miss, Tulane, and UAB) are joined by six incoming all-sports members (Marshall, Rice, SMU, Tulsa, UCF, and UTEP), resulting in a 12-team league.

"3.0" July 1, 2013: Houston, Memphis, SMU, and UCF to withdraw from C-USA on this day. Eight continuing members to be joined by FAU, FIU, Louisiana Tech, MTSU, North Texas, and UTSA for all-sports, plus Charlotte and ODU for non-football, resulting in a 14-team league for football and a 16-team league for non-football.

"3.1" July 1, 2014: ECU, Tulane, and Tulsa to withdraw from C-USA on this day. Western Kentucky to join for all-sports on this day; ODU and Charlotte to join for football in 2014 or 2015, resulting in a 14-team league for all-sports by 2015, if not by 2014.
