RE: Football All-Academic Team
It's interesting that the athletes who make these lists, often tend to be the ones who actually have difficult majors, while those majoring in the proverbial "underwater basket weaving" or "general college" still can't manage to get good enough grades to warrant consideration. Kudos to these athletes!

RE: Football All-Academic Team
Congrats to Toledo and NIU. But I think in this honor we should at least give some consideration to the honorable mentions toward the team totals.

If so, totals would be:

CMU (4-8) 12
Akron (1-11) 12
Ohio (2-7) 9
Miami (1-8) 9
Toledo (7-1) 8
BGSU (4-4) 8
Kent (3-5) 8
EMU (1-7) 8
NIU (6-1) 7
Ball State (5-2) 7
Buffalo (2-3) 5
WMU (2-2) 4
UMass (0-2) 2

During my undergrad years, I was often an honorable mention honor student.

I agree...congrats to all teams. I'd like to take it one step further and say we should consider those who almost made honorable mention too.

I like this list. We're No. 1! ... In more ways than simply the number of football wins last year (or the last three years, at that).
