This jersey number has been worn by more UAB (mens) players than any other number.

(I am assuming this is letter winners only)

What is the number?
How many different players have worn that number?
Is that number being worn by anyone this year?

#43 has been worn the least.

No, I did not look at the media guide.

Incorrect, but good guess.

On the 43, MB will need to chime in, but the latest media guide has no players wearing #43.

Not sure if it is an error in the media guide or if that is the case.

No one has ever worn 43 in a game. It's been issued at least once (John Brown, guard from Memphis, who left the team before the season started in the 1980's).

I'm going to guess #25.

8 times for #25, but that isn't the largest #.

A little help:

This jersey number took the lead this year in number of players who have worn it.

It was tied for the lead along with #24 last year.

It is not a number that would stick out to you as being worn a lot.

George Jones, Luellen Foster, J.J. Smith, Leonard Bush, Predrag Savovic, Bill Armstrong, Lee Cobb, Frank Holmes. Kenneth Cooper, & Fahro Alihodzic

I don't believe I would have guessed that number for quite some time.

Also interesting to note that ASW & Ovie Soko both changes jersey numbers to the number 0.

I haven't seen that happen too many times.

Yep. Just noticed that Mo Finley was listed as wearing the number 12 prior to wearing number 10.

That is unless there was another player named Morris Finley.

There is no distinction made between 0 and 00 in the media guide, however there probably needs to be.

#15 George Jones. I spoke with George, alongside Lex Drum, at Bartow Arena, last year, when Mrs. Bartow, and Family, gathered with so many former players, coaches, athletic staff, fans, and friends, alike. Amazingly, George was slim and trim and as fit as a fiddle. It has been so long, since George played at UAB but when we talked, it seemed as if it was just yesterday.

Gabe Kennedy also changed numbers during his two year career. From 2 to 5 or 5 to 2.

I think Broom changed numbers too.

Kennedy gave up 2 so the twins could be Thing 1 and Thing 2.
