Well, hopefully the next sponser will consider calling it the "Whatever Las Vegas Bowl" instead of the "Whatever Bowl Las Vegas." That always sounded just a little awkward.

Yep. You guys will have fun at the NM bowl after you lose 3 or 4 games in conference..

Really, I don't see the MWC not having its champion or 2nd place team play at the Las Vegas Bowl. Once a new sponser is selected it will probably retain the current setup with a PAC12 team. Whether Boise State will be there is still to be decided if we drop those conference games Poke refered to. It could happen.

I meant we will probably be going to the Las Vegas Bowl but it will just be called something else....lol

Yes but you set yourself up nicely for that

Anyone notice that the contract has 1 more year. Perhaps the new sponsor can help with a larger payout and get higher rank PAC team.

I kinda get the feeling that is why Maaco does not want to re-up. The asking price was out of their comfort zone.

I Was pissed that TCU never play in the Vegas bowl... And we won the MW Title 4 times, but we got to play in San Diego 3 Times.. and the only one I enjoyed was when we played Boise... Boise will be going to Vegas again if they don't go to BCS... For fans I Believe its good to which up after a couple of years...

It worked out well for BYU fans that the Las Vegas bowl had 1st choice, instead of automatically taking the conference's #1 team, but it did seem like a "small potatoes" decision by the conference to do things that way.

obviously 2 of the times TCU went to Fiesta and Rose bowls, and the one time you mentioned you guys wanted the Poin bowl to play Boise St.
The weird one was 2011 where Boise St. went to Vegas and TCU to Poin again. I guess because TCU was leaving MW - we didn't really care much what bowl they got stuck in.

Might be right, could turn out a lot better with a new sponsor, plus open it up more.
