Ten long years, still a few more things to put in line but it's on the way.

I was at work all day but the Tweets were consistent all day with positive news. I tweeted and retweeted as fast as I could from the folks in the room today. I had to leave early just to keep up with the chatter!! Really exciting. We've picked up over 40 followers in the last 48 hours ranging from BCS college coaches to media personnel to alumni to students... it's been pretty impressive ... @bringbackBucFB Our Facebook group has added like crazy... .several of the younger guys who started out on the FB group and have posted here that really jumped in a got the word out to other students... YOU GUYS ARE FREAKING AWESOME!! Social media was very impactful on this!!

I'm getting ready to watch the footage but after reading the comments on here, sounds like I might need to save it for another day.

I did get a little weepy when I saw the "It passed" remarks, from the comments about "man tears" I wasn't the only one... and now I'm just smiling.


Special thanks to Jerry Robertson, CM Chalmer M Boggs, Albert Clevenger (AB), Jim Roberts, Ray Parlier, Ted Hughes, Frank Hawkins, John Slagle, and Mr. Dykes... these men (and others) have met every single month for the past 9 years to keep this dream alive!!! People have come and gone from the monthly meetings over the years but these are the guys who have been there consistently and with no motive other than to see football back on the campus.

I spoke with Jerry Robertson today right after the vote, he was pleasantly surprised. Right after he hung up, he called Coach Smith who'd been waiting to hear.

I've also corresponded with SoCon officials and reporters from three different beats, they seem to think that ETSU will be invited... we should know more specifics by tomorrow... this is the AD meetings and the President's would still need to vote on any petitions to gain entry. There has NOT BEEN any type of vote, plenty of romance, just no 'secret vote'...

SO... a great day!

I knew when I turned on the radio this morning and Phil Collins was telling me it was In the Air and I did my drum solo that we had this one in the bag!

Mama....anyone who isn't sappy after this vote. It's an historical day. I can't wait. Wish we could play tomorrow. I wouldn't trade my ETSU time for anything....the only negative was when football was cancelled. All Bucs will never take football for granted again. My prayer is sellout attendance as a matter of routine from now on. It should start with the basketball team now. Happy days are here again! I've got great Buc football memories starting in 1974....now I get some new ones!

haven't been this happy in a long time guys.. Just an amazing day! Thanks for all the hard work mommabear and everyone else who never gave up on Buc football!
