I've said before and I'll say it again. It ain't the team, it's the coach that's the problem. I appreciate the fact that ECU went in and won the LeClair Classic and swept St. Johns. But considering the RPIs of all those teams thus far, that ain't saying a whole lot. Liberty, Campbell and UVA have good, solid teams, but BG gets outcoached, outplayed and embarrassed at home. The season is young so I'm interested to see how much this team starts to gel and it's obvious there's talent. I just want to see if BG can get the most out of that talent. If not.......

Pirates knock off UNC-G 11-9 tonite. Back and forth game. Now 7-4 on the season.

ECU @ ODU today has been cancelled because it rained for the last 12 hours and the campus doesn't drain well and there will probably be tidal flooding here later. Game hasn't been rescheduled.

Yep. This all falls squarely on his shoulders. First game against UVA the attendance was a little over 3500. It hasn't gotten above 2500 since then and has averaged right around 2200. Looks like the lack of fans is making a statement. I wonder how much patience/rope the new A.D. will have.

Ballard likes Godwin so he might be here as long as Ballard is.

This year is going to be the end of Godwin or we won't have a baseball fan base left.

With ODU's baseball dominance in Greenville, we have placed an offer to rename the ECU stadium "Bud Matheny Field - South". Rumor is that the Pirate athletic department was not very interested in the idea.

Seriously, cannot wait to see the football opener next year in Greenville. Might get ugly early, but very interested to see how we perform against an always solid ECU squad.
