I had a run in with a bat at my daughter's daycare one evening. I walked in and no one was at the front desk, so I signed her out and up above my head was a bat flying in circles. i went to my daughter's classroom after alerting the staff. I picked up her stuff and stepped back out in the hall to see what the bat was doing and it was flying straight at my head. The only thing I had to fight it off with was a pink silky bunny. I'm glad that didn't make video. Finally, I opened a corridor door and he/she flew out. this video made me laugh though.

There are plenty of reasons AK was not offered the UC jobs, one of which is that he was connected to Huggins and remained loyal to the guy. Also, maybe MT, knew he wanted Cronin all along...Cronin was there and UC went with him. It's worked out great.

You clearly have an irrational hatred for AK...so be it. I don't blame a lame duck coach, who had little authority with the University, for two kids not going to their final exams when their season was effectively over. I wish for Eric Hicks and Chad Moore and Ced, and Connor and even Allen that things had gone differently. That team could have won the NIT, but I'm not going to irrationally throw AK under the bus over one incident. Dude put a fun product on the court that season and stood up for what the program had been. I loved that team and am glad for the years AK gave us at UC.

for those who don't know...he coached UC one interim year...that team got hosed from the ncaa (first year in the Big East) and ended up in the NIT. We were making a nice NIT run until two starters had to stop playing as it was discovered they failed to go to class for the final month of the season. Good riddance to AK's ilk.

He also told players to leave the program as an attempt to get back at the powers that be who canned Huggins. He's no friend of UC....and he couldn't hold Cronin's jock as far as being a head coach goes. Good for him, he has Ole Piss good for once in a conference that basically sucks.

The next time you come up with an original thought will be a first. Basically, you've come onto this board and retyped what you've heard others on the UC board say. Devan Downey couldn't make up his mind like most college kids and was leaning towards saying when Cronin's staff basically said he wanted guys that were committed to the program (which I have no problem with) and so Downey elected to leave.

If your friend and mentor was just fired, and you have basically been assured you've got no shot at the head coaching job..what would you expect? That season was one of the better coaching jobs I have seen, he took an undermanned squad that lost Kirkland midway through the season to a near NCAA bid. That team had really bad luck losing to Syracuse on that buzzer beater.

You bring absolutely nothing to this board but other than simply recycling things you've heard others say. I cringe when I read most of your posts.

Agree here....for sure. those guys deserved better. I wish this year team had Hicks in the middle...that would be something to watch.


And I don't think I have an irrational hatred for AK. Let's face it, the only reason this was posted is because it was an AK team and Superfly wanted to glory in this. Had this been a Xavier player doing the same thing I bet anything most of you UC fans would have come on here and ripped him for being classless, for XU coach for being in charge of thugs etc. And rightfully so...it's clearly a classless display and had a UC player done that I bet Cronin suspends him for a game or two.
