SMU is not trying to cancel the series and has mg figured out who toddrodge is?
I wouldn't want to play them as a one and done. I think SMU played them last season and half the state considered their bowl win a joke. A win says SMU is the place to be, but I don't see them winning as we beat the, when we had Scumlin. Now I would like to play them in a one and one deal or something better, but it does us no good to play a one and done. I believe that's Whats on the table here. This has been in the works for a bit IMO. SMU didn't just let them know of their intentions this week.

Maybe SMU is dropping the game because they wish to play Texas Big 12 schools in the future. aggy left the state and they are being blackballed by UT, Tech, Baylor and TCU. SMU vs TCU, Baylor vs SMU, Tech vs SMU has no bearing on those agreements.
Aggy wanted a better conference and their fans are excited about that. Why should Texas schools help them out? Sorry, UT should play UH, Tech should play UH and we all should blackball aggy. That might sound like sour grapes, but I would have no problem if Tech played SMU or UH as part of the Big 12 or PAC 12. aggy wanted to be out the shadow of Texas and think we should grant them that.
I'm very disappointed with this. Upsets happen, June Jones has been behind some nice ones too. If the OOC schedule seems too hard for the staff they shouldn't have sat with their thumbs up their asses when it came to recruiting in the last few years. Makes it very hard to want to come out and support that kind of defeatist reasoning.

I enjoyed the series with Tech. I would love if UH got to play the Texas schools in the big 12 more often.
