The building across from the stadium next to the practice field and next to Wallace is possibly about to be built. It's no OCS, but it would be progress and would help with recruiting.

A football building with offices, meeting rooms, and locker rooms would be a big step forward.

What exactly is being built there? And what do you mean by possibly? Has it been approved/funded/etc. or not?

I wasn't talking about the propose OCS, I think it's pretty obvious where and what that was meant to be on the map. I'm talking about the other building across the street that is supposed to be football offices, or something. I wasn't sure what that was supposed to be..

Sorry I don't pleasure myself to the UAB masterplan every night like you, blazr. I'll try to study up on it a little harder next time before I get up the nerve to ask one of the big boys a question again.

The football offices will be in the stadium under the closed end of the horse shoe.

Any chance it will be built before my 9 yr olds great grand kids die of old age?

LOL...I didn't even read what you posted. Still haven't, actually. You have to be selective in your attention with one eye on that Master Plan, the other on the screen, and only one hand available for mouse and keyboard functions.

None. We can't even recruit players anymore. There will be zero new recruits in the next 3 years, and we won't have enough players to field a team in year 4.

I've still got all my eligibility. Guess I'll finally make my mother happy and get into grad school.

It won't be pretty for the rest of you to watch, but it will be fun for me. Until I'm killed, anyway.

Who's with me?

My high school coach (Rufus Perry) described me as having deceptive speed -- that I'm really slower than I seem to be. B.U.S. only had a team in my senior year (1957-58) and since I had major surgery in Aug. of 57, he made me the team manager/trainer/water boy when the season began. We had only 125 students in grades 4-12 with 6 seniors who could play. Both of our QBs were 8th graders - Grover Worthington and Tom Krebs. Patton (Pete) Bradford, Jr was the only player over 200 lbs. We lost to Catholic High (Mont.) by 72-0, but played Baylor Military of Chattanooga, TN home & home (our game was @ Shades valley) with resectable scores. Baylor had so many players (I had never seen a team picture before or since with jerseys numbered 105 & 110, etc. ) that they could take our roster and construct a team to match us. We won one game - BUS 7-Minor JV 6.

& of course Minor really really sucked during that timeframe.

Minor's biggest rival - Hueytown waxed them big time around that era.

That is a just a few years before mom graduated from Minor.

Bobby Humphrey once ran me over and bloodied my lip, but he tripped over me, so I got credit for a touchdown-saving tackle.

Does UAB not count our wins over USM just because they "sucked" during that time (0-12 in 2012 ). You take and enjoy any win at any time regardless of context, particularly the only one in your school's first year to play football. How many years the school continued to play I don't know, but it later merged with Brooke Hill (Girl's ) School to form Altamont School on the Brooke Hill campus.

Yep, they all count. We won about 4 games in basketball our senior year.

We beat Pleasant Grove twice, and beat Ensley in the tournament.

And we will still demand at least 7 wins from our coach. Screw, "No players to field..." We're sick of excuses!!!
