I'm glad we don't play in the Bracket Busters.

Lose that game and don't win the tourney-- you (and us) are out and playing in the NIT.

Belmont certainly doesn't NEED the Bracket Busters to make the tourney. You are doing fine without it.

Tough draw for you guys Belmont drawing Ohio a sweet 16 from last year that has all 5 returning starters that has a bad RPI. If you win this game you will get no RPI credit if you lose you will get socked and cost you an at large bid.

Although I was expecting to get Ohio, I am still disappointed. This will be a tough matchup for us and the risk/reward is not favorable. However, there is one plus. I love the exposure we will get with a 9:00 pm game. The Curb will be rockin. Maybe we will do a white out like all our opponents are doing when they host the Bruins.

It stinks for you RPI wise 18 vs 90 but in reality this is a GREAT game waiting to happen. Ohio made the sweet 16 last year nearly beat North Carolina to make the elite 8 and have all 5 starters back they should have done better out of conf not sure why they struggled a few games and got costly losses that cost them that poor RPI. I expected Ohio to have a shot at an at large bid and be in the top 50 RPI this year at the very worst.

Belmont's at large hopes go out the window with a loss even though it shouldn't but the RPI will drop big time and then another loss on top would drop it further.

From Ohio's perspective this is exactly what they needed if they beat you guys they get a top 20 RPI road win which would give them a chance maybe to rekindle at large hopes.

As far as watching this game as just a fan of both teams as I am a fan of all mid major teams (plus Kentucky and Ohio State) I can't wait for this game. It should be awesome. I hate all BCS teams except (UK and OSU) and root for all the mid majors to beat every other BCS team so I always root for the best of the best in each conf to make the big dance gives a better chance for an upset.

RE: ESPN Bracketbuster games to be announced today
Ohio is like most top midmajor teams. They got great guards who can shoot. They play good defense. They create lots of turnovers and having one of the premier point guards in college basketball. Ohio returned the entire 9 man rotation that played in the three NCAA tournament games last year. 29 wins last year and 15 and counting this year. Ohio projected to finish 15-1 in the MAC and 24-6 not counting the bracketbuster. They likely will face Akron in the MAC finals where they beat Akron twice in the last three years in MAC finals.

Ohio road loses were Robert Morris second place team in the NEC, Memphis first place in CUSA, UMass top 50 rpi, Oklahoma third place team in Big 12 and Akron who has the longest winning streak in the county and unbeaten in the MAC. Winthrop was a case of Ohio completely no showing up a week before Christmas and the students were on break and the team was flat and got beat on a late second bucket by 1 point. We did lead Memphis by ten, Oklahoma by seven and Akron by 13 in the first half on the road. That rpi doesn't tell you that. We did beat Michigan and South Florida in Nashville last year and almost upset Florida in 2005 in Nashville. Bobcats absolutely love Nashville.

Personally, I was hoping that we would get RPI #317 The Citadel, just because it's a bad team from a lower conference and would be a cakewalk.

We feel your pain, last year Ohio had the widest RPI gap of any bracketbuster match up when we played UNC Ashville. Wish I could make it to Nashville, just the other day I was craving some tacos from Satco. Looking forward to the game, should be a good one.

I'll take it! We're always happy with a win, but a devastation is so much more fun. 05-stirthepot
