The wait is over: Golfweek's 2013 MAC Preview
GOLFWEEK MAC PREVIEW

Quote:Kent State’s Corey Conners has accomplished a lot while being a Golden Flash for nearly three years.

He’s won two collegiate tournaments, the MAC championship, he was named MAC golfer of the year, and has played in two NCAA Championships, including last year’s match-play portion of the tournament. It was the first time in school history that Kent State had advanced that far.

The only thing left? Winning a national championship.

While the Canadian racked up his second career collegiate victory this fall at the Gopher Invitational - overcoming an eight-stroke deficit heading in the final round - the team won the Jack Nicklaus Invitational and was runner-up at the Inverness Intercollegiate.

Congrats to the Flashes and for their continuation of excellence in golf. I pay attention to MAC golf partly because my younger brother lettered in golf at BSU back in the 80's.....Kent's program is one of the best in the nation and great to see! Keep the articles coming , Axeme!

I really wish CMU had a mens golf program. I am looking forward to the addition of women's golf though in 2014.

It's an inexpensive sport to add, and it's a sport where the smaller conference schools can compete very well with the major schools. Of course the weather in MAC country does make it a bit more of a challenge than those schools located in the South and West.

If "no like", then "no read".
