WMU's 1998 team probably didn't have great measurables. They Did save a mans life though.

We are currently behind the WAC, Sun Belt, MAAC, and OVC in conference RPI and our top team, Akron, has a SOS of 183. NIU has a better SOS at 157. No way the MAC gets two teams in the tournament under any scenario. I really want to know when Akron is going to start playing a better schedule and winning more OOC. It is the same thing with them every year, weak OOC showing and then they load up on MAC wins.

Akron's current SOS is low because we have been playing MAC teams recently.

Projected non-conference SOS for MAC teams (according to RPIforecast.com):

57 Akron
65 Eastern Michigan
123 Buffalo
162 Kent State
166 Miami
181 Western Michigan
185 Central Michigan
220 Ohio
224 Bowling Green
255 Toledo
269 Ball State
272 Northern Illinois

Toledo is a has been athletic school which hasn't appeared in the NCAAs for 30 years and the MAC title game for 10.

Finished the football season blasted in a bowl by Utah State, the same school Ohio beat the year before....

BTW, teams change every year. Utah St. finished this year 11-2 (meanwhile, the the almighty fightin' Bobcats beat a 7-6 USU team the year before) and ranked 16/17 in the AP/USA Today polls. UT played the 2nd best bowl team out of the MAC's 7 bowl opponents.

PS...it's only been 8 years since UT has been in the football MACC. 03-wink

Toledo is not the face of the MAC. That is a delusion on par with Kitton (maybe I'm missing the Sarcasm?)

They played @ PSU this year! Why should they play a bunch of BC$ games when they can afford to bring teams in and play them at their place? this is the problem i have with Western. we don't schedule enough home games for basketball or football.

Since 2005:

Ohio
3 NCAA appearances
3 MAC Title Game appearances
2 Bowl Wins

Toledo
1 Bowl Win

There is no reason for a Toledo fan to go after Ohio. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

2005 GMAC Bowl - Toledo 45, UTEP 13
2012 Military Bowl - Toledo 42, Air Force 41

And we don't live in a glass house, we live in the Glass Bowl.

Once again those things called facts get in the way of Kit Kat or what ever screen name he wants to use. Its funny he only goes back to 2005.

Just like the 'fact' he said that UT hadn't been to the MACC in 10 years. WRONG.

Toledo still has a winning record vs. almost every team in both Basketball and Football correct? Going back to 2005....ehh. Toledo still hasn't lost to OU in forever in football, and beat that Sweet16 team last year.
