What is the problem? It appears Marshall, even without a true point guard, has a formula for success - namely limiting turnovers, pounding the ball inside, and hitting the boards hard.

The Four Letter's take one the game:

"A couple of months ago, we might have expected Memphis to struggle with Marshall; before the season, the Thundering Herd, who barely missed out on the NCAA tournament last season, were the only obvious challenger in Conference USA. But with all of Marshall's struggles -- the Herd are 9-11 with losses to South Dakota State, Hofstra, West Virginia, Delaware State and UTEP -- Memphis' squeaky one-point home victory is little more than an artful bad-loss dodge."

Don't know why we got lumped in with the likes of Delaware State and West Virginia.

The Tigers may not be great, but 16-3 is still pretty good.

May be an oversimplification, but I would say mental toughness. A few missed shots, turnovers, or a run by the opponent can send this team into a tailspin. The previous poster is right, if Kane is focused, in a positive way, he can lift the team. If he lets things get to him the team follows him that direction too.

Every game we play it makes me wonder what could of been with Kareem Canty playing PG.

Yes, pretty good < great 04-cheers

Can't wait to get to Hattiesburg for the game on 2-9-13.

How difficult are single game tickets to get in Memphis? I am actually considering driving up to catch the game there as well.

depends on where you want to sit...if you don't mind the top you can get a couple tickets for 20 bucks from scalpers...if you have better taste hop online but be prepared to drop 100 bucks...beer is 8.50 at FedExForum.

You would think it would be easier and cheaper to get tickets. There are plenty of empty seats to be found every game (with the exception of the Louise game), especially up top.

The game on Feb 9 ought to be a classic. Hopefully both the Tigers and USM won't lose between now and then. It would be nice to have 19-3, 8-0 Memphis going up against 19-4, 8-0 Southern Miss.
