Per the Dallas Morning News today......The Big 12 is talking about expansion...the Big 12 isn't talking about expansion......the Big 12 is thinking about expansion......the Big 12 isn't thinking about expansion.....that was pretty much what the article said. Which probably means the Big 12 will be expanding next week. Interesting that they mentioned as many as 10 ACC schools may be in play as further expansion occurs. The article basically said the Big 12 is aware of all the things going on with realignment but they haven't decided if 12, 14 or 16 is a good number......also mentioned 3 Super conferences of 16-20 teams....20 teams????.....what happened to 4 super conferences???

According to this article, the Big 12 is already netting more revenue per school than any conference in the country. With this in mind, why expand and take on more mouths to feed?

I wonder if that's a misprint and that was supposed to be the numbers for the ACC? Seems unusual they would post the MAC's numbers but not the ACC's. Especially when the subject of NCAA Basketball Tournament dollars is involved.

I think the reasoning behind the talk of just three super conferences is because people are starting to realize the Pac 12 is done. If they can't pry four out of the Big XII, they won't be expanding anymore. I think we're a few years from SEC, Big XII and B1G all being at 16 with the PAC remaining at 12.

Oh heck, we already knew that. We'll be one of the 16. Didn't you get the memo?

This whole Texas thing has really gotten out of hand. Sure the Horns look out for themselves and deservedly so. The Longhorns are worth more than any other program in college sports period. That said, I believe they also know that in order for them to continue prospering it is to their benefit that they keep the Big 12 viable even if it means giving in to certain factors they may not have given into in the past.

And I am also sure that MAC number is actually the ACC revenue; a misprint if you will.
