The announcers were rooting against us, everytime the Tulsa crowd would get into they'd do that stupid pan-back to get the crowd in the shot...
Fairly sure I broke it down Degeneration X style when AA made that layup.
Yep, Doug Gottlieb was one of the announcers and his disdain for Memphis was very evident.

Folks, the program and our future are in an uber-transitional stage. As long as the recruits keep showing intense interest and we don't fall flat on our faces, ie, finish out of first, we keep the mission moving forward and keep blowing our horns for the blue. Nothing wrong with spirited debate, but "The End is Near" internal battling is just wrong at this stage. To assume Josh cannot grow stronger as a coach ia taking the short view, which is anyone's right to believe, but I'll lay my money with his recruiting skills and his passion to improve. My opinion.

I happen to think Dozier is one of the best to ever wear Memphis across their chests. He did so many things, caused so many matchup problems. Dozier was a great player in my eyes cause of his unique versitility. Shaq has a big chance to be great as well. I dont see shaq handling the ball on the perimeter like Dozier did at times though. Shaq and Dozier arent the same type player so its not fair to try and compare. There are not alot players around with Doziers skill set at his size with his athletic ability. Dozier could guard pretty much any position on the floor so it made a switching defense easy. Adding a Dozier like player to this years team would do wonders on the defensive end especially.
Dozier kinda let me down on the Hi Lotto pick comment...

Kuran Iverson will remind us alot of Dosier next year...but he will have perimeter skills...kind of a Penny/Dosier hybrid....can't wait to the Tigers in MSG next year

Dozier would arguably have been the MVP of the national title game (I know they give out a different award and it would have been Rose or CDR) had CDR made one more free throw or the had the anti-Christ missed that shot (or if we had fouled harder with 5 seconds left)- his efforts down the stretch were fantastic.

While this team is quite good, they have done little to be in the conversation with the '06-'09 run.
No shame in that, not many teams of any kind have
Winning is Hard!
