Me too. However right now, USM is better at basketball than football. Perhaps they are becoming a basketball school.

They just won Conference USA in football last year. One down year does not all of a sudden make their football program garbage.

I wasn't being serious.

Rivalries aren't designated, they are developed.

There won't be any true rival opponents. Oh, there will be games and opponents that will be important in determining conference championships, etc., but that doesn't make those teams rivals. Our best possibility for a long-term rival is Troy.

I never did like that Bones trophy. Not the bronze rack I would have designed.

Marshall was not an original member. They we added after the first big east raid.

That's becoming increasingly true of college sports in general.

It's from the old Michael Keaton Movie, Johnny Dangerously.

The villian, Moroney, was murdering Johnny's gang, AND the English language,

"You fargin' bastages! I'll have your bells in a sling, icehole!"

That word has officially become part of my occasional vocabulary, I used it numerous times in reference to some of the drivers I encountered on the road yesterday.

If the printout on C-USA divisional realignment that I hold right now is true, Southern Miss and UAB will share the same division, meaning that the rivarly therein shall be preserved. What about Western Kentucky? Weren't they coming on board too?

Tulsa has to leave first, which is about to happen.

Wow. Those guys work fast! That jazz program was on just a couple of days ago. They came by unbeknownest to me while I was in session, great bunch of fellas, very cordial and sincere. I felt really fortunate to be in the station for this moment.

if wku replaces tulsa we need to fight to have one permanent opponent in football from the east and make it mtsu. southen miss got screwed not getting that deal with tulane. being in the west for uab will hurt us a great deal.

Agree with this. As one of the few remaining members of CUSA and one of the founding members, we darn well better be able to lay claim to the division we want. UAB should stay in the same division as Charlotte, Marshall, ODU, and MTSU. Ideally, I'd like for us to stay with WKU too if they were to be added, but if it means only WKU or UAB being in the east, then UAB needs to be the one placed in the east.
