I like it when i see it almost destroy the big12 & the big east. But since we have a commish that is as useless as a (insert your own metaphor here) its disheartening to see the potential cusa had wasted & destroyed.

I opened it against my will because I'm a mod. So I guess the feeling can be described as compulsory disappointment. Wait....my coworker just slurped his coffee. The feeling has turned to anger.

RE: Realignment
I've got "mixed" feelings. Angry at ESPN driving the realighment, happy to be moving up to CUSA, sorry to see ECU move (notice I didn't use up), worried about future realignment.

Other. I'm just annoyed. Traditional national rivalries lost. Marshall rivalries lost. I'm becoming a fan of the NFL much more than college football (could be because I'm also a huge fantasy football fan).

RE: Realignment
I have become desensitized...

At first I was big into this realignment stuff, what were the rumors, who was going where... but it's just been too much and now I don't care, if and when a team moves, then I will see it.

now that I think about it, why did I even click on this thread, how did i get here? 03-banghead

RE: Realignment
I marked ANGRY 03-banghead, but really I am DISAPPOINTED 03-weeping about teams I was excited about sharing a conference with are leaving. On the other hand I am WORN OUT 03-drunk by the whole realignment mess. At the end of the day I am OPTIMISTIC 03-cloud9 about the conference going forward, and expect it will be making some noise in the athletic arena.
So, let's play! 04-cheers

RE: Realignment
Mixed emotions. On one hand, because my favorite school (UAB) was never mentioned prominently in any kind of relocation to what was perceived as a "better" conference, I was dismayed. But, given all this "Conference musical chairs" action lately, one of the few remaining conferences that still offers at least the appearance of stability and sanity from a logistical standpoint is in fact, Conference USA. As of now, I'm glad the Blazers have stayed put, very happy with the new schools coming in (especially Charlotte, La. Tech, , MTSU and Western Kentucky) and looking forward to the emergence of new rivalries. Long live Conference USA!

I'm happy we get to play UConn, Cincy, Temple, Navy, USF, etc...and we don't have to share a conference with MTSU, FIU, UNT, UTSA, Tech.

But I'm disappointed we won't get to share a conference with UL, Marquette, and Notre Dame.

You may even be able to hang onto a few of those schools you're happy to be in a conference with.
