Well, that's a given.

IMHO, Shaq is a better leaper and runs the floor well while Stokes can bang and has good footwork underneath the basket. They are both good players and have different skill sets, but I think Shaq has more upside. No knock on Stokes, but if I had to choose only 1, I would pick Shaq and I say that without any bias.

I like this scenario of them playing together.

Could have been [perhaps] much better for Stokes, and good for us too.

^^^ This.

They both are good players but different. Would have been nice to have both.

Remember UT was a "business decision" 03-banghead
Same business decision Archie Goodwin told the Arkansas fans. Why leave your hometown to better your chances of going pro? Damian Lillard was a lottery pick from Weber State. Simply put, if you can play the scouts will find you. If you just want to leave the city I understand that but to think UT has a better BB program than the one you grew up around was very bad reasoning.

RE: Shaq Goodwin vs Jarnell Stokes
I can't help but imagine how many people would be in Stokes ear if he were here in Memphis. I would say it is proven that those who give him advice should never be allowed to give any other kid advice.

I think we dodged a bullet.

It's real hard not to like Shaq. He seems like a really good kid. And he's a talented bball player to boot.

Would be happy to have a team full of Shaq's, DJ's and maybe throw in a D Rose-clone.

We didn't need another player who can't score more than 8 feet away from the basket...Offensively Stokes and Black are the same player...
