Only if that's what you WANT it to say.
Nothing in the original post points a finger at Tarik beyond what is public already.
Ok then what is the point of this? Clearly it was about the Tarik incident.
It said some players dont respond to being disciplined in practice and has to be benched in games. That is pretty clear to me. Tarik didnt respond to discipline in practice so had to be benched. I just had no idea Tarik was such a discipline problem.
The post does not specificaly indentify Black as receiving discipline (eg, wind sprints) that did not work. The post states that a player's behavior changes better by beaching than by any other method. The post does not indicate that Black has discipline problems beyond published reports.
I doubt any of the players are disciplined in practice. Pastner has told us how hard they work in practice. It's the Actual game that is the issue
Not sure why some don't understand this

I may be way off base but it seems to me...
1. Pastner is trying to live down the "too-soft" rep so wants to make discipline public so all can see he is disciplining his players.
2. Blanket discipline. Break the rule X is the punishment. I can understand that kind of discipline, it worked really well in the medieval period. Steal and get your hands cut off, doesnt matter if you are a 50 year old cutpurse picking pockets or the 10 year old orphan girl stealing a piece of bread to live, either way off with your hands. Terrible justice system.

And $2M basketball coaches are paid too much money to keep using practices that don't work. Tough > goodie-two-shoes. Good job, Josh AND Tarik. Man up and beat the crap out of somebody.

RE: Practice vs. Games
For a practice that doesn't work, it sure seemed that Tarik got the point. When allowed back in, he took the opportunity to show a much higher level of effort and even better body language than was shown in the Harvard game. This is undiputed fact. It really doesn't matter if any of us believe he "buys into" the "punishment" handed out. It only matters that he was smart enough to realize what he has to do to play. That makes the "punishment" effective.
