The official help pick a pattern thread
I've got a *bunch* of patterns ... I'll swap them out after a few people share their thoughts ... and we'll try to come up with a few finalists. So ... stick around this thread ... and keep refreshing frequently. When you see something new ... reply with what ya think.

RE: The official help pick a pattern thread
I'm not sure about the stained glass background as it looks a bit cheesy, but I like the tile overlay. It's got a nice subtle feel to it. It looks a lot better than the previous background with obnoxious orange and black contrast. In my opinion, backgrounds always look better if they are continuous and don't have that tiled look (referring to the 300x295 large tiles of the background picture itself).

I like this one best so far of the three; it's not as busy-looking nor is it obnoxious, but the graininess doesn't appeal to me. What else ya got?

RE: The official help pick a pattern thread
I like the concrete pattern one, but I couldn't see the other. I wonder about scaling each tile up a little to make the pattern more pronounced (like 120-140%).

Edit...switched tiles on me...prefer concrete to static. Never got to see snakeskin.

Tile-8 is an improvement over the concrete.

RE: The official help pick a pattern thread
Not digging the stripes, it looks like awkward wood paneling. It's not quite Mercer colors, either.

My order so far:
Static
Concrete
Vertical Stripes
Snakeskin
Polkadots

Too sophisticated and tacky. Plus, it looks weird when you scroll up and down.
