RE: Adonis
We all agree Adonis has severely regressed. But why? Too much added weight? Confusion about his pro position and how to play him? Too much pressure to be the leader of this team?

Hope the best for him but he's a prime example of someone who should have struck when the irons hot. All of the fan talk about a guy needing to stay another year to improve his draft stock is poppycock. You go if projected first round. No question.

Go from projected lottery pick to only first round because of injury? He only played half of his freshman year and didn’t actually show what he could do. The smart move was to return and prove yourself and make top $money$ for years, not just 1 or 2.

This year isn’t over and if he gets it going he will achieve his goals. IMO he’s special but not showing it right now.

Why not leave when Injured and still projected lottery? A lot more downside in that scenario.

Coming off of a serious injury in your freshman year?

You’ll take the question mark with you on draft day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the injury in the middle of the season.

And wasn't Adonis our best player at the end of the year?

Yep. He was far from our best player, that would have been the player with the name Will Barton.

Without a doubt Will Barton was the best player on the court for us. I should have been more clear - I meant in terms of NBA projections, wasn't Adonis still seen as our best player and a lottery pick following the season?

If I remember correctly Adonis was late first round to 2nd round by the end of the year. I am pretty sure he was nowhere near lottery. If he were lottery every person around him would have advised him to go.

My mistake then. We have so many NBA players on our roster every year, I get them confused. Old age does that to the brain.
