UofL loses to Nova. Absolutely disgusting effort. Worst game for Louisvile since last season. Villanova is HORRIBLE, no excuse losing to them.

While plenty of blame to go round, put it mostly on Chane Behanon. 3 of 9 from the line, nearly all in the 2nd half. That includes missed front ends of 1 and 1's. He also turned it over 3 straight possessions late in the game.

By the way, congrats to Syracuse on the regular season basketball crown. I know Marquette only has 1 loss, but congrats Cuse.

Yep, this makes our loss to Syracuse sting even more. UC would have been in contention for the title as well with that win. Oh well. MSG is what really matters 04-cheers

Here's the ESPN Highlights and game write up of Nova's 73-64 win over Louisville...as the Cards have now obviously lost 2 conf games in a row.

Memphis was said to have crushed Alabama in a pre-season closed practice game last Fall. Last night, Tulane led the Tigers by as much as 16 points thru most of the first half. We finally pulled away late in the game for an 11-point win (whew!). Tulane would beat half of the C-7 teams right now and they will only get stronger with the Big East brand. Congrats to the Green Wave for a very good game.

How is Cal going to have room for all the kids coming in next year? This group isn't leaving en mass to the nba. Is he going to cut kids and take away scholarships?

Lot of season left to be conceding already. Shows a lack of respect for the rest of the league.

While this year's UK class probably doesn't have 5 or 6 one-and-dones...I'm sure Cal will get very creative with scholarship limits...similar to what Rick Pitino has been able to do at UL...where some upperclassmen go off scholarship for a year...or incoming recruit pays their own way for a year, etc....as Pitino has been able to have 14-16 scholarship players in/out of his 13 max scholarship limit squad over the last few years.

Calhoun did this as well last year to grab an incoming recruit...and I doubt Cal will have any problem like this in the future.

Then add in the fact that without the 5/8 rule in place...those not receiving playing time and generally told to "look elsewhere"...and most do...so that frees up another scholarship for an incoming player.

A Rutgers fan who works in Center City ran into most of the team at some pizza joint in the afternoon. Whatever was in that pizza that made them play poorly, I want them to have it before you play us in a couple weeks. ;-) 04-cheers

Or Cal being Rick...or Cal being Jim....or Cal being almost any of the other 340 Head Coaches (telling players not receiving much PT to look elsewhere).

Elimination of the 5/8 rule opened pandora's box in regards to feeing up the ability for players to transfer and for teams to immediately utilize that freed up scholarship.
