Attention, Commissioner Steinbrecher - this is the way to go for the MAC Championship!

Disagree. I like the neutral field. Not the best for attendance but good weather, under a dome with neither team getting the benefit of a home crowd. Under these rules KSU would have had home field, not sure how many points that would have been worth. Besides, a team going 4-0 with a weak OOC schedule could benefit over one that had a challenging schedule but went 3-1 or 2-2.

There are pros and cons to either. I'm sure there's no perfect solution, I'm not even sure there's an optimum one. However, I do think the MAC has found a way to ensure they are far from optimal.

I prefer the neutral site. However, having a game in cold weather, in the same locale as a conference bowl game makes little sense. It throws out great potential to do more.

Championships at team stadiums? Would love to see Huskie Stadium packed to the gills for a championship.

Too bad Cleveland doesn't have a dome. It would also be nice if the MAC could rotate the championship between Detroit and Indy, but with Indy having the Little Ten championship, I don't see that happening.

I personally would've named the West into the Pacific (yeah, I know Nevada isn't on the coast), it seems a little awkward having one geographic and one descriptive name. Still, it's just like how the ACC names it, and it could've been a lot worse.

"mountain" "west" conference = "mountiain" division and "west" division.

seems pretty reasonable to me - and no issue about the nevada schools not being in a state touching the pacific. it also allows expansion, without name changes.

and addressing someone else's post:
the reason the mwc made out better than most of the other gang of 5 conferences is because there were quality football (boise state, fresno state, hawaii, nevada, utah state etc) and basketball (utah state, nevada, etc - and nmsu was available too) programs to pillage from the wac.

the big east had to reach down well below their former level of play to get (mostly poor to average non bcs) cusa (and a mac) football programs (memphis, ucf, smu, tulane, temple) - most of which hurt the basketball side.

and then cusa had to reach down even farther below their level of play (to the sun belt and the fcs) to get replacements.
