Great to hear about fisher and winters! Expecting either one to go first pick is pipe dreams but even if fisher goes where projected (top 15) it's still a great thing for our conference. Hoping winters goes soon after him too!

That might be true (that he is the best player at the SB), let's assume so, BUT the best players to be drafted in April are not at the Senior Bowl today.

Let's not set expectation TOO high and then be disappointed if he is drafted 10 - 13.

For those into these kind of projections, I wouldn't be unhappy to see the Lions move down from #5 to say #10 and take him.

He would be a LT and the tackle from Iowa drafted last year would be a RT.

My two favorite OLs this year are: Luke J. from Texas A&M and Chance Warmack from Alabama.

Warmack might be my real favorite as he is so damn dominating and can open up huge holes for the running game.

Chiefs are going to draft a quarterback, they aren't going to take a left tackle.

Joe Staley of CMU was drafted late in the first round by the 49's a few years ago and has been a stud for them ever since. That has to help Fisher.

Although a different sport, Antonio Daniels of BG was drafted #2 in the first round of the NBA draft. I think Wally went #8 in the first round.

Admittedly, I don't know much about the Chiefs organization, but I would be shocked if they took a QB #1 overall. This is a very weak year for QBs (Dysert is the #4 QB prospect, and he was Third team All-MAC). I haven't seen any analyst/network/pundit projecting a QB going #1. The most unanimous pick at this point (very early in the process) is Luke Joeckel OT from A&M. If the Chiefs really want a QB, they will trade down and get another pick to take one of the QBs where they won't be a huge reach.

Joeckel is more unanimous than the other unanimous picks? That makes him pretty unique. 03-wink

I like players who are more than unanimous. :)

This could be a crazy early 1st round draft.

NO Qbs early. Lot of OL (e.g., Joeckel, Warmack, Fisher, etc.) in top 10. Lot of DL and LB. MAYBE one DB.

Teams do crazy things, so anything's possible, but the Chiefs would be really nuts to do this. A good OL does wonders for making QBs better. This is the approach they should take. Especially w/ the possibility of Smith being available.

I like Colt McCoy as well, but the Browns may have truly ruined him, and he'd be much riskier.

I guess I should have stated, closest to unanimous.

Anyways I agree with you, this draft is certainly not your typical NFL draft class. Lots of depth in this class, and it's mostly at the OL/DL positions. Weakest class of QBs in a long time though. Add to that, last year so many teams drafted their "franchise" QB, and there aren't many teams looking for a QB this year, on top of it being a weak position in this class. I wouldn't be shocked to see only one QB taken in the top 10 picks (Geno Smith). I think he would be a huge reach at #1 personally, but then again I'm not a NFL GM.

See: Delhomme, Jake. Dilfer, Trent. Johnson, Brad. A great defense and strong o-line will make everyone seem a lot better, especially with Charles in the backfield. Matt Flynn might be on the block too with Russell Wilson emerging so much.
