This year is going to be a trip. WKU, ASU, ULL, ULM, Troy....all should be darn good.

USA and TXST are not bad and could jump up and bite.

I don't know all of the loses each team has taken, but you'd have to figure that ULM would be the early favorite due to Browning.

I disagree. Their collapse toward the end of the season was nearly as bad as WKU's and they showed they lacked the depth to play with injuries.

To be the same as 2011 and that didn't happen. And most the time it doesn't. Doubt 2013 will have the same results this year as 2012.

The only collapse was in the bowl game. Went 2-2 to end the season and the losses to ULL and ASU...two pretty darn good teams...were not entirely surprising. Dominating win over North Texas and an overtime win over pre-season fav FIU was not a bad way to end the regular season.

I was responding on behalf of stAte AND UL. Probabilistically speaking, the odds of them BOTH sucking (not having average years, but having crappy years in this new, easier Sun Belt) is low. Hence, you shouldn't count on that scenario happening. Doesn't mean it won't - just means it is not likely that both teams suck.

As for FIU last year, if those two programs in question would have been held in higher regard, maybe FIU wouldn't have been picked as the Sun Belt favorite. :)

As for stAte in 2013, I'm a lot less concerned about a new coach than I am about a new QB. I don't think stAte should be favored to win the Sun Belt - but I'd be surprised if we "suck." But having watched Troy and UNT fall after strong runs, I very much understand where you are coming from.

What does that have to do with what I said? That is one of the three you crazy guy.

If stAte can pull off the outright title again in 2013, it would be just the second three-peat of outright titles and would put them in a tie for first with UNT for outright SBC titles(3) a tie for second with UNT in total SBC titles(4) and just one behind Troy(5).
