How many of you western fans are making the trip down for the game? #100milesofhate

I would wager most Western KY fans will decide to stay at home. It will probably get ugly quick.

Have no clue how many will make the trip but you are correct, USA and MT should win easily at home against the current WKU lineup. With more than half our starters either out with injuries, playing with injuries, or recently returned from injuries but playing at 70%, anything short of 20-30 point blowouts would be very unexpected.

The women's bball games might be competitive though.

Your women's coach is doing a helluva job. Unbelievable.

Should be COY in the Belt, if they keep it up.

I agree Nevertheless, winning at MT is an uphill battle to say the least. I do feel we can at least compete this year in women's basketball.

Not many WKU fans will be there. But you can bet your ass Diddle will be packed when you come to our house in March and our team is (hopefully) at full strength again.

Our Championship, I reckon. Like last year.

Don't like Western's odds in Hot Springs this year, Harper did a hell of a job turning it around last year, but he had the "new guy" energy and I can't imagine you guys being able to find any real team chemistry with your ever changing line up do to injures.

I doubt seriously that we'll be able to put it together in time.

However, we weren't bad when Crook went down. As a matter of fact, we were playing as well as we had all year just prior to his injury. Not nearly as talented or complete as MT, but likely a clear 2nd.

The reason I don't think we'll get it together is because I'm not convinced Crook can get back to 100%. It sounds crazy, but we lost a lot when he went down - 17.1 PPG, 6.2 APG, & the only PG on the roster. Injuries are a part of every team's season, we're just not talented or deep enough (now; Ray's first full year) to overcome them.

Take it easy on us Saturday. If we can keep it under 16, I'll be satisfied & surprised. [/align]

I'm expecting a close game coming down to the wire this Saturday

Doubt it will be very close, but that's ok. With all our injuries (excuse/fact), I just hope we are healthy in late Feb. then we will see what happens.

I'm just surprised that the App. St. And Ga. So. folks haven't jumped on this thread and made it about them yet.

Just picked up 4 tickets and headed to the boro this weekend. I can't see wku staying in this game without Jamal Crook at point guard, but a trip to Nashville and visiting time with old wku friends living in the boro will make for a good day

If GSU or App State were playing, it would obviously be a blowout in their favor.

They should be in the SBC for everything. Because they can beat us. One handed. Blindfolded. Riding your mothers.
