I'm afraid my Blue Raiders want none of Rice on the diamond.

I noticed in the avatar area of your posts and have to ask this:

Has MT made any overtures to the TN state legislature in trying to get the U of MT name? Just curious.

or UAB. Even our teams that are having down years can reach out and bite you just when you're riding high.

UAB had ECU's number for our expected championship years.

Won't be the first time!

So I guess that is a "no" on the name change? UT-Knoxville doesn't want it to happen, right? We've been there and done that a few decades ago.

We could have had MTU back when Memphis changed their name, but we chose to stick it out.

UT-k against the name change, as well as HBCU Tenn. State out of Nashville. They will fight tooth and nail against us.

We'll need to get a new president in here before we do it. Ours does not seem to have the political clout, and after being here more than 10 years he is most likely a short-time. Doesn't want to ruffle any feathers.

Easy there big guy

Yeah, we just got our a$$es handed to us by freakin' Richmond. No way we dominate anything.

When you have a large amount of minutes coming from freshmen and sophomores, it shouldn't be a surprise to have a game or two like Richmond. The result was only amplified by one of their guys having a career night.

We are 15-3 now when most expected to be around 12-6 at this point. I'll take the growing pains at 15-3.

It's all good. Just a little hesitant about throwing around the "dominate" line since that didn't go so well going into the A10 and we just got blown out by a not so good A10 team in Richmond. Unfortunately, I got to witness the UR game first hand.
