Big, physical safety with good speed.

Could possibly beef up to linebacker, or not.

Yaaay! He had 9 other D-1 Offers. This is the kind of recruiting that excites me.

RE: New Commit from Clay-Chalkville (TJ McCollum)
The number of stars matter less to me than who wants the kid, and how many schools are interested. Players who have multiple D-1 schools offering are typically a good sign.

Based on those criteria, these last two commitments (DT and safety) look like some of our best in this class. Glad to see this class starting to trend in a stronger direction.

I hope we can hold on to the DE and the TE commitments who are being aggressively courted by other schools, including our own former recruiting coordinator. We need some fast, aggressive DEs who can have the moves and hands to break free of blockers...lack of pressure on the QB has destroyed our defensive capacity for the past half decade and will continue to do so until we have some big guys who can get after the QB.

That will make 5 former Cougars on UAB's football team; DJ Vinson, the Reaves Brothers, Brandon Fuller and McCollum.

This is the best basketball team they've ever had (and by "ever" I mean since 1996).
