I thought the biggest issue was the basketball lineup for 2013-2014 and football after next season. Football has a deal with ESPN for next season. Either way I am interested to see which schools is our fourth conference home game, Temple, Houston, or SMU. I hope its one of the Texas school but have a feeling it will be Temple.

Cincinnati has to play either Houston or UCF. We had UCF at home but McMurphy tweet says nothing about Cincinnati playing Houston.

The Big 10 and Pac 10 played 8 conference games with 10 members for many years. 9 league games doesn't really work because then you have uneven home and away games. Plus, all of the schools already have 4 OOC games scheduled. 8 games is the right decision.

It should be 9 games. Simple as that. I am tired of these schools scheduling FCS schools to sandwich into conference play, including my school. It's embarrassing.

Cincinnati has to play either Houston or UCF. We had UCF at home but McMurphy tweet says nothing about Cincinnati playing Houston.

Logic would dictate that based on McMurphy's 1st tweet, that if Cincy's only conference-mate they don't play is UCF, that they would play everyone else - which means they would also play Houston.

Instead of playing Boise & SDSU, TU plays Cincy & UL; SMU plays RU & Cincy; UM plays UCF & UConn; UH plays UL & Cincy

In 2013 the Big East should play 9 conference games for one year. The next year ( 2014 ) we can play 8 & 4. This will help some of the schools fill in the slots for the games they lost because of Boise State and SDSU leaving. Because of the BCS bowl game it would also help each teams SOS ranking.

Huh? The BE was planning for 8 conference games. Now they're going to play 8 conference games. Not really a loss of anything, just some shuffling around.

Besides, everyone but Houston already has 4 OOC games scheduled for 2013. It would be pretty costly to have almost everyone drop an OOC game for this year.

2014 makes more sense to go to 9 games because a lot of OOC games aren't set yet. But it remains to be seen if that is the desire of the conference.

There is NO change to the number of conference games. With Boise/SDSU- would have been 8 conference games. now, it's 8 conference games.
