Happy Belated New Year, Monarch Nation! Hope that everyone's happy and doing well. I will be hosting for the first time ever, a sports talk program, we want to put the majority of our show's content on Conference USA and its members, current and brand new...That means you!!! It's entitled, "Unleash The Dragon", it's scheduled to air on Friday, February 1 at 1 pm eastern time on internet radio station WBLZ-Blazeradio (http://www.blazeradio.org), and feedback on ODU from fans and supporters is highly encouraged and welcomed with open arms, either by phone or social media (Twitter: @BlazerRadio, @AlbertPride2)...This forum will go a long way to providing listeners in Conference USA markets some insight into its fellow "family" members, and hopefully, enhance the allure of each respective athletic program. Of course, other sports-related subjects are not taboo, being that we're airing on Super Bowl Friday, you know, we'll have some confab about that, among other things. So good to be able to get back here and share some dialogue with ODU fans, I watched an Old Dominion men's basketball game on CBS Sports Network, I think, not that long ago, and this forum came to mind immediately. If you mention ODU can you pretend that men's basketball didn't play this year?

I will if you request it. How about the women's team? I am a huge fan of women's basketball, and ODU still has history in my memory. Anyway, our men's team at UAB has struggled this year, too, they're 8-9...Our women's team on the other hand is 12-4, 2-0 in Conference USA, and hardly anyone comes out to see them play at Bartow Arena. I just don't get it...How have you been?

Our men's team is shameful so i won't speak of its record, but our women's team is 12-4 as well. 3-1 in CAA. Only losses to two ranked teams in Cal and Texa A&M and Pitt and Elena Delle Donne (Delaware)

I have an internet sports radio show that me and my friend do, maybe we could get together sometime and work together.

I love that name! "Elena Delle Donne!!!" Has a ring to it...I thought she'd graduated and was WNBA-bound. She's still doing it up at Delaware???!! I hope my Blazers make it to the big dance and they draw them in the first round, I've been wanting to see her and Brittney Griner play in person in this lifetime.

Also to let you know that ODU is finalizing a home and home series with South Florida in football, starting with USF at ODU in 2014.

Here's a great article about ODU's recruiting class for next year. It's the largest and highest quality class in ODU's short history with a number of 2 and 3 starred players.

The one most fans (at least most fans on here) are most excited about is QB Shane McCarley. Turned down offers from FIU, FAU, Louisiana Tech, ULL, and Temple. Looks to be a Heinicke clone.
